Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) is the premier non-profit healthcare provider in Qatar. It was established by Emiri decree in 1979 and reports to the Supreme Council of Health. Since its establishment, HMC has rapidly developed medical facilities capable of providing state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment of diseases that previously could only be managed in overseas medical institutions. HMC currently manages 8 specialized hospitals: Hamad General Hospital, Rumailah Hospital, Womens Hospital, National Center for Cancer Care & Research, Al Khor Hospital, Heart Hospital, Al Wakra Hospital, Cuban Hospital as well as the national ambulance service, home healthcare services and the developing residential services. Facilities under development include Al Wakra Hospital, Childrens Hospital, the new Womens Hospital, a Skilled Nursing Facility and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. We are looking to appoint a number of full-time Consultants and Senior Consultants to join our Adult Rehabilitation departments on a permanent basis. These roles are based in our brand new Rehabilitation Hospital in Doha, Qatar comprising of an inpatient unit and a transitional day care facility. We would like to hear from Consultants with at least 5 yrs background since qualification who would like the opportunity to work in our very supportive and progressive modern department. Our consultants are responsible for organizing, monitoring, and maintaining the services provided in order to achieve the highest possible level of patient care with optimum utilization of the available resources. You will develop work plans for specialists and other members of the team and performs all relevant interventions related to your field of specialization. You will also perform health education through orientation and scientific presentations. We would like to hear from experienced Rehabilitation Consultants, who have background working within an HDU/Early Intervention environment. We welcome interest from Consultants who are working in the following sub-specialties: - Spinal Cord Injury - Brain Injury - Neuromuscular - Hospice and Palliative - Pain We expect our consultant to have: Primary medical degree from a recognized medical school Board certification or equivalent for area of your medical specialization five years work background after graduation from primary degree 3yrs work background as a Consultant or six as a Senior Consultant At HMC we value your skills, requirements and background and there has never been a better time to consider a career with us.
